How do I buy bitcoin?
This guide explains how to buy bitcoin using your River cash balance or a linked bank account.
Step 1: Click "Buy bitcoin"
On your River homepage, click “Buy bitcoin.”
Step 2: Enter buy details
Enter the amount of bitcoin you would like to buy. Using the toggle arrows under the purchase amount, you can denominate in either BTC or USD.
On this screen, you can select from three different order types: one-time buy, recurring buy, or Target Price Buy.
Once reviewed, click “Preview buy.”
Step 3: Select funding method
Your default payment method will populate at the top of your screen. By clicking into this menu, you can select a different funding method.
Step 4: Confirm buy details
After reviewing your buy order details, click “Buy now.”
Step 5: Bitcoin buy placed
You will receive a confirmation of your order and your account will be credited instantly with bitcoin.
