Navigate to the "Withdrawals" page, located on the top bar of Swan’s website.
Scroll down and click the “Withdraw Now” button.
You may be asked to set up two-factor authentication to proceed.
You now will be asked to add a wallet to send bitcoin to. Give your wallet a name (e.g. “Satoshi’s Wallet”), and paste the Receive address you copied from River into the "Wallet Address" field.
When asked “What type of wallet is this?”, select “Third-party provider” and enter “River” under the name field.
After you have added a wallet, you may go back to the “Withdrawals” page located on the top bar, and scroll down to the “Withdraw Now” button.
Please note: You can only deposit Bitcoin into River. We do not currently offer other cryptocurrencies.
In the “Withdraw Now” box, enter in the amount of bitcoin you would like to send to River, and make sure you have the correct wallet selected.
Click "Withdraw Now". On the next screen you will be prompted to confirm or edit your transaction details.
You will be responsible to pay for the network fee associated with transfers.
After you finalize the transaction, your Bitcoin will be transferred on-chain into your River account.
Don't worry if you don't see your Bitcoin right away! It may take some time before your Bitcoin is received by River. River applies confirmation logic to give you an expectation of when your on-chain transaction will reflect in your account:
- Any transaction less than 0.1 BTC requires 2 confirmations
- Any transaction less than 0.5 BTC requires 3 confirmations
- Any transaction greater than or equal to 0.5 BTC requires 6 confirmations
