To remove your existing beneficiary plan, follow these steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to your account settings
If you are using river.com, click on "Profile & Settings" on the left side of the home page. If you are using the River app, tap on your profile icon in the upper-left corner of the home screen.
Step 2: Select "Beneficiary plan"
If you are using the River app, scroll down to the "Account" section and select "Beneficiary plan." If you are using river.com, scroll to the "Wallet" section and select "Beneficiaries."
Step 3: Select "Delete beneficiary plan"
If you are using river.com, click the "Remove" button on the upper-right corner to delete your entire beneficiary plan. You will need to confirm this request by selecting "Remove" once more. If you are using the River app, tap "Edit beneficiary plan" and then the delete icon on the upper-right corner. You will then need to confirm the request to remove the entire beneficiary plan once more.
If you live in a community property state, certain changes to your beneficiary plan may require your spouse's approval. River will send your spouse an email to review and approve your change if applicable.

You will receive an email to confirm that your beneficiary plan has been removed.
