How can I close my River account?
To close your River account, you can email support@river.com and a Client Services representative will process your closure request.
You can also close your River account directly on the app with the following instructions:
1. Open your River app and tap “Settings” in the bottom-right corner.
2. Then, tap the headset icon in the top-right corner.
3. Scroll down and tap “Close account.”
4. Read the disclosures, tap “Dismiss,” and confirm your account closure.
In order to complete an account closure request, the following requirements must be met:
Request is sent from the verified email or phone number on file with your account
Your bitcoin balance is zero
Your cash balance is zero
You do not have any active mining contracts
You do not have any pending wires or bank transfers
You have resolved all outstanding transactions
Please note that River may retain your personal information for the longer of:
(i) five (5) years;
(ii) the length of time required by law;
(iii) the length of time required by our compliance program;
(iv) the length of time required by our fraud prevention program;
(v) the length of time required by our banking partners.
