How can I close my River account?

To close your River account, please send an email to support@river.com and our team will be able to process your request.

In order to complete an account closure request, the following requirements must be met:

  • Request is sent via a verified email or phone number.

  • Client's Bitcoin balance on the platform is zero.

  • Client's cash balance on the platform is zero.

  • Client has had no transfer or transaction activity in the past 14 calendar days.

We may retain your personal information for the longer of: (i) five (5) years; (ii) the length of time required by law; (iii) the length of time required by our compliance program; (iv) the length of time required by our fraud prevention program; or (v) the length of time required by our banking partners. Please note that if you delete your user account via the Service, we may still retain your personal information as explained above. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
