This article explains how to change your River password, including resetting a forgotten password and the post-change protection period.
Step 1: Locate your account settings
If you are using river.com, click "Profile & Settings" in the bottom-left corner of your River homepage. If you are using the River app, tap your profile icon in the upper-left corner of the homepage. Then, scroll down and tap "Security & Privacy."
Step 2: Select "Password"
Click "Password" to begin.
Step 3: Change password
Enter your current password, enter your new password, and then confirm your new password.
Please note that if you have forgotten your password, tap the "Forgot password?" link on the login screen. You will receive an email with a link that takes you directly back into the River app to complete your password reset. Once reset, you will be redirected to the login screen to sign back in with your new password. Resetting your password will initiate a three-day protection period that temporarily restricts bitcoin sends.
Step 4: Password changed
You will see a green banner at the top of your account confirming that you have successfully changed your password on your River account. You will use your newest password moving forward.
