Learn how to change your default Smash Buy order amount on River.
Step 1: Click "Profile & Settings"
On the River app, tap your profile icon in the upper-left corner of the home screen.
Step 2: Navigate to Smash Buy settings
On the River app, tap "Banking & Funding" and select "Smash Buy."
Step 3: Select "Edit"
On this page, you will see your current Smash Buy configuration. To adjust your settings for future purchases, locate your current Smash Buy amount and tap the "Edit" button.
Step 4: Enter your new Smash Buy amount
Enter your new amount.
Please note that your updated amount must be at least $10.00 and cannot exceed your account's standard bank transfer limits.
Step 5: Save your changes
Once you have entered a valid dollar value, click or tap the gold "Set default smash buy amount" button at the bottom of the screen.
A "Smash Buy amount updated" notification banner will briefly appear at the top of your screen to confirm the change, and the Smash Buy button on your price charts and iOS widget will instantly display the updated purchase amount.
How do I change my funding method?
If you want to change the funding method for an individual transaction, you can do so directly from the buy preview screen prior to making your purchase. When the preview screen appears after clicking or tapping a Smash Buy button, locate the active payment source and tap the "Change" button to select a different linked bank account or your cash balance.
