How do I create a River account?
This guide explains how to create a River account. River can only service clients residing in the United States. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be a citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States with a valid Social Security number.
Your primary residence must be in one of our eligible states or territories.
You must have a valid government photo ID such as a driver’s license or a passport.
If you meet all of these conditions, you are eligible to create an account.
Step 1: Go to river.com
Visit river.com and click “Sign up” in the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Choose your account type
You can choose either an individual or a business account. Click the correct account type and select “Get Started.”
Step 3: Enter your personal information
You will first need to enter your full legal name, your email address, and a secure password. You will also need to accept River's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Step 4: Confirm your email address
Check your inbox and follow the link to confirm your email address.
Step 5: Confirm your phone number
Enter your cell phone number and verify with the 6-digit code sent to you.
Step 6: Finish setting up your account
Enter your other personal details including your date of birth, your residential address, and your Social Security number.
Step 7: Welcome to River!
You have successfully created your account and can begin buying bitcoin!
