Article Summary
This article explains how to withdraw cash from River to a bank account or wire, including minimums, holding periods, and arrival times.
You can withdraw funds from your River cash balance back to a linked bank account or by initiating an outbound wire.
You can also use your River account and routing number to pay bills and to transfer funds. For more information, please see this Help Center article.
Step 1: Locate withdrawal button
If you are using river.com, click "Withdraw cash" on the homepage. If you are using the River app on your phone, tap "Cash" at the bottom of the homepage. Then, tap "Withdraw."
If you added cash with a linked bank account, these funds will be subject to a holding period before they are available to withdraw, pay bills, or make transfers. For more information on the holding period, please see this Help Center article.
Step 2: Enter withdrawal details
Enter the amount of cash you would like to withdraw and then select either the intended bank account for receiving the funds or the wire transfer option. Then, click "Withdraw cash preview."
Please note that the minimum amount of cash to withdraw is $10. If you are initiating an outbound wire, the minimum amount of cash is $10,000. Initiating an inbound or outbound wire at River is free, but your banking partner may charge a small processing fee. The ability to wire out of your River account is not yet available on the River app and is currently only available on river.com.
Step 3: Review withdrawal details
After reviewing, click "Withdraw cash now."
Step 4: Withdrawal initiated
Your cash will arrive in your bank account the same day or by the next business day, depending on how early the withdrawal was submitted.
