A proof of funds document is designed specifically to verify your financial capability to a third party such as a lender, landlord, or escrow company. The document includes River's official letterhead, your account details, your current balance, and a verification contact so the recipient can confirm its authenticity.
How can I use a proof of funds document?
A proof of funds document is commonly accepted for:
- Mortgage and home purchases: Verify to lenders and sellers that you have the funds to cover a down payment and closing costs

You can download your proof of funds document on river.com or from the River app. When generating the document, you can choose between two versions:

- On river.com, click "Taxes & Documents" on the left side of the screen.
